Kenneth W Aschheim, DDS

Dr. Aschheim combines extensive computer software and AI expertise with a focus on Forensic Odontology, leading projects such as developing the UDIM dental module for New York City’s Unified Victim Identification System and programming the OdontoSearch website. His AI work includes partnerships with Bright Forensics on AI-based human identification software and contributions to a machine learning project for dental age assessment. He also helped draft the first ISO international standard for AI in interpreting 2D radiographs. Alongside his academic roles as Adjunct Clinical Professor at NYU College of Dentistry and Associate Clinical Professor at Mount Sinai Medical Center, Dr. Aschheim serves as Assistant Chief Forensic Odontologist for New York City and a consultant for numerous government agencies and international organizations. Additionally, he is a noted author of numerous articles and three textbooks on Esthetic Dentistry published by Elsevier, which are used in US dental schools.
