Al Panjali DDS, MS, DICOI
Dr Panjali is a graduate from New York University. He attended an Oral Surgery residency in Frankfurt, Germany in1992 and continued his implant Dentistry education at New York University in 2003. Thereafter, he completed his master’s degree in Oral Implantology from Goethe University, Frankfurt, Germany in 2016.
Dr Panjali is a Fellow of Academy of General Dentistry and a Diplomat of International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is the founder and Director of New York Implant Institute since 2008 and teaches a comprehensive program in Implant Dentistry. He is Clinical Professor, external faculty & researcher, Department of Oral implantology, at Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences, India. He owns and operates a clinical research facility in Bogota, Colombia which also serves as a training center for advanced implant training. He has published several articles including a 2-year study on placing implants successfully in infected sites. He has also developed the “No Drill Osteotomy Technique” and invented “ALSAC” Sinus elevation technique (awaiting publication).
Dr Panjali has been lecturing nationally and internationally on dental implants since 1999. He teaches over 30 plus hands on classes within United States each year in addition to eight live patient surgery mini residency program. He is a key opinion leader for several national and international implant companies including Straumann, Neodent, ADIN, IDO BIOTECH, MCT Bio, Maxxeus CTS and several other newly emerging products. He owns and operates a full-time practice in Syracuse, NY, dedicated exclusively to Oral Implantology.
Course Summary:
Learn the biologic basis and fundamental principles of implant dentistry. This FULL DAY course is designed for beginners that wish to learn about the surgical phase of implant dentistry for single tooth restorations. The course will outline the design principles, surface treatments, and other mechanical properties of implants. You will learn how to predictably place implants using guided and non-guided surgery. Participants will be able to diagnose, plan, and surgically place single as well as multiple edentulous areas with endosseous implants in their practices. Hands on model workshop will further clarify the concepts.
Objectives
Establish a basic foundation and understanding of dental implants, their biologic basis, and applicability in restoring single edentulous areas.
- Predictably diagnose and treatment plan for conventional single-tooth implants
- Understand and manage complications with single tooth implants in both anterior and posterior areas
- Learn how to fabricate surgical guides in-house with and without CBCT
- You will know what works and what doesn’t work
- You will recognize how to avoid and treat complications
- You will understand what we know about the timing of implant placement and loading
- How to predictably restore implants
- Gain confidence, improve clinical knowledge and skills to establish successful implant dentistry practice
