Constantine Stavrinoudis, DDS, MBS, MS, FACP
Dr. Constantine Stavrinoudis received his Bachelor of Science degree in Bio-Psychology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. He completed Master degree in Biomedical Sciences with a concentration in Pharmacology from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He received his dental degree from Howard University College of Dentistry. Following graduation, he enrolled in an Advanced Education General Dentistry residency at Milwaukee’s Veterans Administration Hospital. After several years, Dr. Stavrinoudis returned to his studies and received a specialty certificate in Prosthodontics from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, along with a Master of Science. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists.

He currently serves as lead on the ACP subcommittee for Private Practice Digital Curriculum and member on the National Prosthodontics Awareness Week committee. He maintains a teaching position at One Brooklyn Health Hospital GPR program while in private practice in Manhasset, NY.

Use of an Intra-Oral Scanner and Printer Utilization Within Your Office

Making the switch from conventional to digital dentistry can be a decision that weighs many factors. Such factors may include financial investment, unfamiliar knowledge or just no need in this point in someone’s career. Other important factors when comparing from conventional to digital is what is faster, easier, cheaper and most importantly what’s better. Any initial digital workflow in any office requires an intra-oral scanner. There are many advantages of using intra-oral scanner that are highlighted within this presentation. The ability to digitize any dentition and to utilize an in-office printer that helps maximize many prosthodontic steps. Saving a lot of chair time, increase patient comfort, lab time turn around, record keeping and even communication between all parties in treatment. Discussion of digital procedures that will highlight artificial intelligence advances in several intra-oral scanners on the market. Identifying several digital workflows for typical prosthodontic procedures will be reviewed along with incorporating in-office printers. Lastly, finding the appropriate digital dental laboratory that have the experience and equipment which will make the difference between what is faster, easier and most importantly better.
